“Toinho Dub” promotes the meeting of the samba player Toinho Melodia with Jamaican music. In this new project, the composer “paulibucano” presents his songs, originally composed in rhythms such as samba, xote and baião, in arrangements of reggae, dub and ska, performing an original fusion between musical aspects of Brazil and the Caribbean island.

The band that accompanies Toinho in this endeavor is led by bassist Pedro Lobo (BRAZA) and mixes musicians who wander between the sounds of samba and reggae. To announce the project and bring to the public a sample of what has been produced by the group, Toinho Dub is releasing two clips this April. The first of them, “Freedom Suffered”, is already in the air - check it out below! The next, "Pretexto", is scheduled for release on April 24th.
