The São Paulo band MicroDub, led by music producer Bidiztone Anderson, released their newest work, the EP ?O Pipa? on all digital platforms on February 2, 2020. The album is mixed by Victor Rice, winner of two Latin Grammys as ?Mix Engineer? - who also participates in the EP on one of the tracks as bassist - and mastering by Pernambuco producer Buguinha Dub, who has worked with names such as Nação Zumbi, Cordel do Fogo Encantado, Natiruts, among others.

The EP comes with five tracks and special guest appearances by American singer and instrumentalist Gracie Bassie. Singjay Ras Ital B and singer and MC Diggão Ragga, members of MicroDub, also perform. The name of the EP, ?O Pipa?, comes from the lyrics of the song of the same name on the album, written by Diggão Ragga. It recounts the life of a boy who chose to be a ?vapor? (a scout at the entrance to the drug dealers), a sad and common reality in Brazil's peripheries and favelas," explains Bidiztone.

With elements of Brazilian music - such as the funk flow present in the title track - and electronic beats, as well as the strong and omnipresent influences of Jamaican roots music, the EP features four tracks and also a dub version of ?O Pipa? by Victor Rice. The art direction and digital distribution was handled by Graxa Pura.
