The Maneki Neko, or Lucky Cat, is a symbol of good luck not only in its origin in Japan, but in many other places around the world. It is also known as "the waving cat", because of its raised paw.
Meaning of the Maneki Neko tattoo
The best known image of the animal, which is depicted in Maneki Neko's tattoo, is the cat holding a golden coin, the koban, a symbol of wealth and great prosperity.
The raised right paw, according to the symbolism related to the Maneki Neko, attracts luck and fortune. The left paw, faithful customers. The two raised paws (although this is a rarer representation) signifies personal magnetism and great prosperity. The colors of the cat also carry symbolism:

- Black: protection
- Golden: fortune
- Green: Good luck in intellectual activities
- Tricolor: great luck
- Red: Strengthened health.
