Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, known simply as Grêmio and FBPA, is a Brazilian soccer club from the city of Porto Alegre, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, founded on September 15, 1903 by Candido Dias da Silva, considered one of the largest in Brazil and South America. The club is also known by many nicknames: Imortal Tricolor, Tricolor dos Pampas, Tricolor Gaúcho, Rei de Copas, and Clube de Todos.

The team's main colors are blue, black, and white. Its shield is composed of a circle alluding to a soccer ball with its stitching, the team's name written in the center, its founding year on the top, its acronym on the bottom, and three stars (bronze, silver, and gold), which symbolize, respectively, the conquests of the Brazilian Championship, the Libertadores Cup, and the Club World Cup.

The mascot of the Tricolor Gaucho was officially adopted in 1946, created after an internal publication with the title "Musketeer".
