Tattoos were introduced in our country more than 50 years ago by the Dane Knud Harld Likke Gregersen, known as Lucky Tattoowho arrived in Santos on July 20, 1959.
July 20th was instituted as ?Tattooist Day? in honor of Knud, considered to be the first tattooist in Brazil, bringing the first electric tattoo machine used in Brazil.
His studio was on General Camara Street, with the slogan:
It's not a saylor if he hasn't a tattoo?
?you are not a sailor if you don't have a tattoo".
