Toucans are birds of the family Ramphastidae, which live in the tropical forests of Central and South America. Their trademark is their colorful and large beak, which can measure more than half the length of their body and has a thermoregulatory function, as the bird spends a lot of time in the treetops exposed to the hot sun.
Much appreciated for their beauty, which is quite exuberant and exotic, the bird is generally associated with several positive meanings such as agility, confidence, dexterity, good luck, gratitude, reconnection, sociability, and freedom. In many cultures they are even considered to be messengers between heaven and earth.
They say that when one toucan crosses your path, this means that it is time for you to better express your ideas, share knowledge, free yourself from shyness, and always speak your mind. Within the ancient Indian culture and shamanism, toucan nerds are related to exhibitionism and communication. It is believed that whoever owns this animal has the gift of words, written and spoken.
