Documentary "Quebra Tudo" shows the political history of rock music in Hispanic America

The recent history of Latin America cannot be told without music. Especially without the music that expressed the non-conformism of the social movements since the late 1970s. To draw this parallel and explain the growth of the effervescent Latin American Hispanic rock scene, the documentary Breaking It All: The History of Rock in Latin Americaa six-part documentary series produced by Netflix, brings together testimonials from several key names in the scene over the last half-century. With speeches from Fito Páez, Alex Lora, Charly García, Rubén Albarrán, Julieta Venegas, Andrea Echeverri and even the late star Gustavo Cerati, the doc is essential for music lovers and recent Latin American history buffs.

We miss Brazil and all the wide range of key bands and artists from our national rock scene, but the series is very worthwhile for those who want to know more about bands from countries like Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, among others. Check out the trailer:
