Barcelona Football Club symbol tattoos

Futbol Club Barcelona, also known as Barcelona and popularly as Barça, is a professional soccer club based in Barcelona, Catalonia. Created on the initiative of a group of athletes from Catalonia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland in 1899, the club has become a symbol of Catalan culture and Catalan nationalism, becoming famous worldwide for the many titles it has won, thus becoming the second most valuable soccer club in the world.

The team's shield is divided into four parts, united by a medieval shield: the cross of St. George, the Catalan flag, the abbreviated name of the club, and, at the bottom, the colors of the club with a soccer ball. Each of them reflects an idea: development, occupation, respect for roots, and connection with the native land.

The St. George's cross represents the patron saint of Catalonia. The four red stripes on a yellow background represent the Catalan Senyera flag. Below, a wide stripe with the inscription ?FCB? in capital letters (an abbreviation of the full name Football Club Barcelona). At the bottom, a yellow ball with three red lines on a blue field, symbolizing the color of the soccer players' uniforms.
