Palmeiras' symbol tattoos

Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras is a Brazilian multi-sports club in the city of São Paulo, founded on August 26, 1914, by Italian immigrants. Its official shield and flag colors are green and white. The red color, present since its foundation in 1914, was excluded by pressure from the national government during World War II, at the same time of the name change from Palestra Itália to Palmeiras.

The current shield and institutional symbol on the club's shirt is composed of a letter P, a shield of the Savoia cross, eight white stars, a white circle, and a green circle.

On the smaller circumference, with a white background, the outline of the Savoy Cross is filled with 26 lines representing the day of the club?s foundation, with the traditional ?P? inserted in the middle. In the larger circle, with a green background, appears ?Palmeiras? in white and, also, the eight stars, which make reference to the month of foundation and its titles, but in relation to the titles, the current number is already very different and this meaning is no longer used.
