Santos Futebol Clube symbol tattoos

Santos Futebol Clube is a Brazilian multi-sport club from the city of Santos, in the state of São Paulo, founded on April 14, 1912. It is one of the most popular teams in Brazil, recognized worldwide in the 1960s for having revealed Pelé, considered the best player in the history of the sport.

Its initial colors were white, blue, and gold, but soon after its foundation, it was decided that the colors would be white and black, because it was very difficult at the time to make shirts in those colors.

After some changes, the current shield appeared in 1925, classified as a Polish or Russian shield, with symmetrical rounded edges and cut-outs on the sides and top. The eleven black and white stripes symbolize the players, and the stars above the shield, inserted in 1968, represent the two world titles won in 1962 and 1963.

The team has already had several mascots: Peixe, whalesailor, fishmonger, fisherman and dolphin. Always associated with its coastal city. In 2006, the club created the duo Baleinha e Baleião, who cheer up the fans.
