Meaning of koala tattoos

Koalas are animals mammals, from the group of marsupials. Their habits are quiet, they usually live alone, staying most of the time sleeping or on top of trees eating eucalyptus leaves, their favorite food. Their friendly image is usually associated with symbols of community, family, stability, peace, and tranquility.

They are docile beings, easy to socialize with, and symbolize patience, since they usually don't force major changes in their lives, remaining happy and content with the basics to keep themselves going.

Their habits are very simple, they eat little and sleep a lot. They do not have much contact with others of their species, and only have a great connection between mothers and pups, symbolizing the bond of protection and maternity. O baby koala completes its development inside the mother's pouch and then still clings to her back for a few months. After a year or so it becomes independent.

Within the culture of ancient peoples of Australia (their native land) there is a legend that koalas are magical animals, keepers of the memories of the land, that came to bring wisdom to human beings and, soon after, climbed the trees to watch us.
