?Toinho Dub? promotes the meeting of the samba player Toinho Melodia with the Jamaican music. In this new project, the composer from São Paulo presents his songs, originally composed in rhythms such as samba, xote and baião, in reggae, dub and ska arrangements, performing an original fusion between musical styles from Brazil and the Caribbean island.
The band that accompanies Toinho in this endeavor is led by bassist Pedro Lobo (BRAZA) and mixes musicians that wander between the sounds of samba and reggae. To announce the project and bring the public a taste of what is being produced by the group, Toinho Dub is releasing two music videos this April. The first one, ?Liberdade Sofrida?, is already on the air - check it out below! The next one, "Pretext," is scheduled for release on April 24.
